History

Ulster National Route 396 is a north-south highway serving the provinces of Great Bend, Concord, and Florence. It runs north to N20 in Ancaster, FE then heads south to Lafayette, GB. It was constructed in 1925, a few years after the Ulster Cross Country Highway System was established. N396 was constructed as a direct connection to Lafayette and Ancaster. It also services Hendersonburg, the capital of Concord, crossing over A30.
